Iron deficiency is the most common nutritional deficiency in the world, estimated to affect about 1 in 10 women of childbearing age in the U.S. Symptoms include fatigue, dizziness, paleness, hair loss, shortness of breath, and difficulty concentrating, but they normalize until they become limiting. You always have to look for the cause (heavy menstruation, diet, digestive bleeding).

What we do: Blood tests in the clinic and, if due to iron deficiency, supervised iron infusion.
